Ameral Gunson began a successful and varied solo career throughout the UK & Europe after 4 years in the BBC Singers. She includes many operatic roles in her repertoire, and has appeared at Covent Garden, Alter Oper Frankfurt, Turin, Helsinki & Amsterdam opera houses; and the Almeida Theatre, London.
She has been a regular broadcaster for the BBC, singing in many Proms, including the popular "Last Night" in 1985. Her recordings include the Grammy awarded Peter Grimes for Chandos Records. She now teaches at GSMD & Trinity College of Music, gives regular masterclasses throughout Europe, and lectures at Birkbeck College. |
