Lora Munro

Lora trained from an early age at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in London, where she won the student award for most outstanding all-round performer. She made her professional debut at age six alongside Sue Pollard and Les Dawson in Babes in the Wood at the Birmingham Alexandra Theatre.

On leaving Italia Conti, Lora was offered a recording contract with 21st Century Fix / Toco International. A UK and European tour followed, performing live to audiences of over 20,000 people at venues such as the prestigious Cafe De Paris and the London Astoria. During the promotion of her record, Lora performed on both National and International television, and her songs have been featured on compilation albums all over the world. Other recordings include dance tracks for Rumour Records and Clone Records and a workshop recording for a new musical based on the ‘Profumo Affair’. Recently Lora was lead vocalist on the album “Forever Sound of Music” which saw an International release in 2007 with Rumour Records.

Appearances as a dancer and actress include The Spirit of the Dance (European Tour), Celebrity Musical Gala with David Jacobs (Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham), Cavalcade (UK Tour), Night Fever (Channel 5), Chalk (BBC), Greasemonkeys (ITV) and Flamenco Fever (Goodwood). As a solo artist she has performed alongside Blue, Alison Moyet, Ant and Dec, Girls Aloud, and Kelly Lorenna. She was also invited to perform songs from her first album at Madonna’s ‘Birthday Bash’.

She has worked as a Choreographer and dance coach internationally for companies including Saks Hair and Beauty, Next, New Look, Marks & Spencer and Accessorize. She has also been a Choreographer for pop bands such as Supersister and Sensory Overload; and has staged productions for the theme parks “The American Adventure” and “Chessington World of Adventures”. Recently she choreographed and performed in Sinbad & the Pearl of Peace in Dubai for the Great Entertainment Company.

Lora’s biggest passion is Flamenco dance. She has studied at the Centro De Baile, Jerez in Andalucia, and has been fortunate enough to train with such world-class dancers as Belen Maya and Angel Munoz.

Lora has appeared for Qdos Pantomimes playing Alice Fitzwarren in Dick Whittington alongside Paul Nicolas, Cannon and Ball, Leslie Grantham, the Krankees and Sam Kane, at The Cliffs Pavilion, Southend-On-Sea and the Grand Theatre, Wolverhampton.
